Problem Installing

Ok so I am not computer savvy at all but i'm playing a mmorpg from europe and the servers are based in montreal, canada...this is resulting in lag/delays. A few people mentioned SoftEther and said it worked for them and so I decided to give it a go, I downloaded the zip file and extracted it, I ran the installer as directed in the set-up process and it seems to work fine until maybe a minute or so into 'The setup of SoftEther VPN Client is in process please wait' part - then I get a box pop-up on my screen saying 'SoftEther VPN has stopped working'.

That it won't install...

when the box pops up that it's not working...that's it, you have to click 'close program' and it does nothing, it's not installed and it doesn't finish installing.
