DDNS hostname cannot be used when update to SoftEther VPN

Post by jatan » Sat Mar 09, 2013 5:22 am

Dear softether vpn San,

Please help me.

After update from packetix vpn 4.0 RC1 to softether vpn 1.0 RC2, the former DDNS hostname cannot be used anymore.

The "vpn_server.config" in packetix vpn folder has been deleted.

How could I get my earlier DDNS hostname? the hostname was "ParcTresor.vpnazure.net".

Thank you.

Hi jatan,

You can restore vpn_server.config from "backup.vpn_server.config" folder of PacketiX VPN 4.0.

Thanks Dnobori San.
However, the whole folder of packetix vpn4.0 has been deleted by mistake... So cannot find the "backup.vpn_server.config" folder, either...

Hi jatan,

You don't have any backups of config? If so, the private key to register on the DDNS host is lost.
I'm sorry I cannot help you if the private key has been lost.

Yes I tried but failed.

I will setup a new DDNS hostname then.

Thank you all the same.
