Sure if you are hosting the game you will then be able to play on VPN when you are remote if you set up a VPN server.

nah... i want to configure my SoftEther VPN Server for "Game using VPN , Browser no VPN"
How i can manage it ?

Something like...
Browser using direct connection.
Game using VPN connection.

Try to configure routing table to select VPN gateway only for the game sever.
