Virtual Network Adaptor Debian Stretch 10Mbit/s

Post by modfiles » Thu May 03, 2018 2:24 pm

Ive been wondering for quiet sometime why i get way FAR better throughput using windows os than linux/debian.
upon investigating and issuing lshw coomand on linux/debian, i found out that linux/debian Virtual Network Adaptor is set only to 10Mbit/s!
is their a way i could at least set it to 100Mbit/s or its just a linux debian limitation?

The virtual NIC driver for Linux isn't developed by SoftEther project.
It doesn't have a bulk transfer function.
So, sending each packet needs a context switch.
This is the reason that a Linux client is slower than a Windows client.
