SoftEther VPN Protocol support for MacOSX

Post by lpezet » Fri Jul 06, 2018 4:00 pm

Hello!

I just discovered SoftEther (after years of using OpenVPN) so, yeah, totally new here.
Reading the documentation I stumbled upon something saying if client is not Windows (like MacOSX/Linux), then I need to setup L2TP or such.
Here's one place where I found this:
https://www.softether.org/4-docs/2-howt ... into_Cloud
Specifically:
"If your PC is not Windows but Mac OS X, iPhone or Android, set up L2TP/IPsec VPN client on each PC instead of SoftEther VPN. Another solution is to use OpenVPN Client on Mac OS X, iPhone or Android to connect to SoftEther VPN Server."

I could not find a page with "VPN Protocol Support/Requirements", so I'm confused. Any technical reasons why SoftEther VPN Protocol would not be supported for MacOSX Clients?
My reason is that, if this (https://www.softether.org/@api/deki/files/12/=1.3.jpg) is true indeed, I want that SoftEther VPN bandwidth!

Thanks!

There is Mac OS X vpnclient.

However, there isn't GUI and low affinity with the OS.

SoftEther project welcome developer who can develop virtual NIC for Mac OS X.
