Hi,

we are currently evaluating softether vpn for connecting a remote site via l2 bridge. The software is pretty awesome. We tested using two raspberry pi 3+ with an ADSL 100Mbit (100 up / 30 down) connection. For throughput testing I used iperf on two windows boxes, one being at the remote site and one at our central site. For some reason up and download speed is locked at 30Mbps. Is the raspberry Pi or the 30Mbps upload the culprit here?

Are you sure its ADSL 100Mbit (100 up / 30 down) connection? Most ADLS services have a higher Download then upload.
Do both locations have the same ADSL 100Mbit (100 up / 30 down) connection? If so it's the 30 Mbps internet service you have.
Your download will only be as fast as your download 30 Mbps and then the other sites upload 100 Mbps. The max transmission will be 30 Mbps

The slowest speed is the max in any given direction.
