Route Remote ETH adapter to local PC

Hi Everyone,
Please help with this problem i am having.
I need some way to do the following.
I have a CNC machine. It has an ETH port that it uses to connect to controlling PC. The controlling PC ETH adapter gets an ip when they are connected.
I have a VPN running between the controlling PC and my laptop. Now i need to somehow either route, or clone, or something, so i get a copy of that ethernet adapter on the controlling pc into my laptop. i am assuming it will show as a virtual adapter in my laptop. But i need ALLLLL traffic in that ETH port in the machine to be routed to the virtual eth adapter in my laptop.
How can i go about this? i am sure many have asked similar questions and have had similar needs.
Industrial TCP/IP over internet Gateways do exactly this process but they are expensive and hard to inplement. Please advise.
Thanks
