Hi,
I have 2x windows machines (server and client) and use it occasionally for 6 months
Since last 2 months I have more and more problems related to the connection.
It is a basic setup by the book using Softerther protocol.
The problems are following:
- the connection looks ok, status is ok, IP assigned
- every 5-15 minutes there is no connection (thought it is still indicated as working OK) just no website nor email can be openen. It last for few seconds and apparently work until timeout. Usually my messenger or could do not report issues - so it is short
I thought it is ISP, but I used pingplotter to check and both server and client ISP are no issues. With Softether I have a lot of lost packets.
Any ideas? It is unusable this way, as I work a lot on the web and databases and get kicked off due to connection issues.
After last update it worked all day no problem. Restarts does not help. Server is setup on decent amd apu system with 4GB and only I use it. Never a problem when I work using i.e. TeamViewer.
Otherwise I like it for it's simplicity and it used to work OK.
Best regards,
WL

If there is firewall with timer, I recommend to increase TCP connections and establishing interval.
