Actually it may be a provider issue - common to many cellular providers - and that is that they NAT your cellular modem on a private (non-routable) network. So you may browse network no problem , but trying to reach back to a private network address is challenging and you can't forward ports easily (or at all)
I have been playing with this and using SecureNAT works on a Verizon router I have, but the only way I can connect to the Server behind a Verizon cell connection is using the Windows Softether client. This works pretty well, but because of the private IP I am not able to make Android OpenVPN client or built in Windows client work.
Any other ideas from anybody else? I would love to get better functionality for this cellular case also :)
Thanks

Does the VPN server run on the toughbook?
