What Ports are Used by the VPN Service?

Post by Thatmcgamerguy » Mon May 22, 2017 12:58 pm

I ask this because the network that I am attempting to use blocks access. I have a tool that can bypass the firewall, but only allows connections on the ports: 53, 80, 443, 465, 587, 993, 995, 8000, 8001, 8080. However, I can request that the creator's of the service expand to more ports, so I need to know what ports the VPN Gate system uses.

Thanks, Thatmcgamerguy

The port(s) used by each VPNgate server varies, as you can see on this page: http://www.vpngate.net/en/

Ephemeral UDP ports are used for NAT-T and UDP acceleration mode.

Layer Two Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) uses TCP port 1701 and is an extension of the Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol. L2TP is often used with IPSec to establish a Virtual Private Network (VPN). Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) uses TCP port 1723 and IP port 47 Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE).
