I just installed Softether on a DigitalOcean droplet and my VPN router is working perfectly fine. I am having some issues with my iPhone though.

My mobile carrier is notorious for blocking VPN protocols. Both PPTP and L2TP over IPSec are already blocked. OpenVPN is only partially blocked. When I used to have a normal OpenVPN server I had to disable the TLS handshaking both server and client side so that my iPhone can communicate over LTE with the OpenVPN server. It just seems like the DPI my carrier uses scans the TLS requests and drops the packets immediately.

In Softether the OpenVPN client would get stuck for a few minutes on "pulling Settings from server". Sometimes it will connect after many tries and working perfectly for as long as I keep it on, and sometimes it will keep stuck there and the connection times out. I am not sure what I can do to solve this.

Does Softether use TLS handshaking for OpenVPN? If yes, is there a way to disable it?
