Firewall

Post by goddi » Wed Sep 23, 2015 10:54 am

Dear Sirs!
I am german. Maybe you do not need all the information you mention in the preface.
It is not a Problem with your software - it is windows (linux) firewall.
I installed a softether vpnserver on windows and a softether client on an other.
(I think i had the same problem before on an ucs server so i tried windows)
I use virtual bridging.
I use a firewallrouter ("Fritzbox" and portforwarding of TCP 5555 and UDP 5000 and 450)
(it also works without 5000 and 450)
Everything works fine when the windows firewall of the Server PC is off.
When i switch it on i can make a connection (port 5555) but no VPN.
The ports mentioned above are also opened in the windows firewall.

Are there additional ports to open on the windows 10 firewall?

Dear Sirs!

The solution was a special aspect of the win 10 firewall.

"Allowing Unsolicited Inbound Network Traffic for a Specific Program" in the extended options of the firewallrule.
You have to allow it.

Then the VPN Server works in bridged mode under windows.
There was no problem with secure NAT
