Hi Team
.
We have one PLX device, When two users make the tunnel connection both users get the same client IP allocation with the same gateway. The actual scenario is to get the different IPs to both users.
We have faced the same issue with the SoftEther older(v4.31) & newer (v4.38) versions.
we found out that the same IP gets allocated by SoftEther utility after 2 hours. To find the exact time range, we tried to connect to the same Device in different time ranges like 1.30 hrs., and 1 hrs. but the same IP was getting allocated after 2 hours of a connection made only. Also, There is nothing shown in our BH logs where the same IP is getting allocated however it's assigned by the SoftEther utility tool.
We need your assistance with this issue.
Regards,
Sai Lakshman

Re: Same IP allocation happening for both users with same Gateway
This is a strange one... two VPN Clients connecting to the SoftEther Server.
Scenario 1
Client#1 connects and gets IP 1.1.1.1 (example)
time since Client#1 connected < 2 hours
Client#2 connects and gets IP 1.1.1.2
Scenario 2
Client#1 connects and gets IP 1.1.1.1
time since Client#1 connected > 2 hours
Client#2 connects and gets IP 1.1.1.1
The only way to resolve the issue in Scenario 2 is to have Client#1 disconnect and ensure Client#2 connects prior to Client#1 being connected for 2 hours. The next test is to get a bit more granular and connect Client#2 at 1:50, 1:55, etc., and then again, so we can see if it's a hard setting.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Three options:
- switch to static IPs
- use another DHCP server
- report here https://github.com/SoftEtherVPN/SoftEtherVPN/issues
