Hello, I recently discovered this site and started testing connections.
I found several issues:
1) First one is that the stated location may not correspond with the actual IP's location. For example, I see some US connections, but with a simple IP lookup I see it originates from for example the Philippines, Indonesia or some other location.
2) Second, and likely the most important one: When I use some paid VPN service, the VPN gate homepage shows the wrong location. For example, I connect with a New York VPN, but the home page shows another location like the UK or Romania. Meanwhile, I'm not the UK or Romania. When I search the IP in different IP lookup db's, they all point to New York. This is weird behavior.
Can someone explain how the VPN Gate homepage determines the user's location? Could it be some old (offline) tables?
