Transparent windows, and not connecting

whenever I try to use SoftEther VPN, the widows that open are 50% transparent, I have tried changing the value in options, but when I do the OK button is greyed out. Also my pcc is connecting to the gateway, but not the websites I want. I use Windows 8.1 Pro, 4 Core CPU (64bit) 4 GB RAM.
