SoftEther VPN User Forum

If I add my PC to the DMZ I can connect to VPN Server; If it's not in DMZ I can't connect (shows error code 1):

Using Century C3000Z router, I tried the following:

Forwarded ports:
992;
443;
1194;
5555;
1701

Opened application ports:
PPPTP;
IPsec;
L2TP;
Shiva VPN

Why would my PC connect to VPN in the DMZ, but not with the above ports opened? Is there maybe a different setting I'm missing?

-On client PC I have the VPN Client Adapter;
-On the VPN server, from Source IP address I allowed my client's PC (wan IP)
-On the VPN server I tried under local host to use port numbers 443 and 992;
-On the VPN server I created a port 1701;
-I can't see anything from logs either (but I didn't see much in way of logs anyway)

If you have any suggestions please let me know. Not sure what I'm missing...
