VPN Settings

Post by srknyxl » Wed Aug 05, 2015 12:02 pm

I'm running a VPN server for gaming purpose. So I'm not interested in security. I have 2 main questions

1- What is the most guaranteed way to penetrate Firewall. Which settings should I use for FW penetration? (They simply blocked port 443 and My gaming network was gone)

2- Any suggestions for less delay? (I disabled encryption for faster connection)

As I know, there is no best way to penetrate firewall.

If you use VPN over ICMP, ICMP may be blocked.
If you use port 80, there may be a transparent proxy preventing you from connecting.
If you use other ports, the ports may be blocked.
If you use custom protocols, NAT firewall may not forward them properly.

Thanks for reply. I use Softether protocol for my VPN. I used port 443 for access but it's blocked now. Does that mean system admin blocked all HTTPS websites?

No. The block may be different for different destination IP addresses.
