Dear Sir,
I have tried to install SoftEther VPN client on KVM platform. It was successfully installed, but unfortunately it did not work correctly.
1. When I tried to create Virtual Network Card, it was rejected due to the error code 31.
2. I then rebooted the system and retried, but failed again.
This problem does not happen on VirtualBox platform which runs SoftEther VPN client without any problem.
I am curious whether anyone has an experience of this problem.
Any comments and suggestions would be appreciated.
Regards

Re: SoftEther VPN client does not work on KVM platform?
I am sorry -- I managed this problem by myself.
Although "vpncmd" works in a user mode, it must be run in a root mode (sudo).
Running vpncmd in a user mode caused this problem.
In addition to that, I also noticed that VPN client was installed in VM which used NAT configuration for virtual network card, but not a bridge. For some reason, this NAT definition is also problematic. a Guest OS was given an dhcp address by KVM (e.g. 10.0.2.10) where the default gateway was 10.0.2.2 and DNS server was 10.0.2.3. A guest OS can access to 10.0.2.2 and 10.0.2.3, but it could not access to outisde NAT.
This problem suddenly occured after running 2 weeks. However once happened, there is no way to recover -- even after rebooting KVM kernel.
Then I modified all virtual network cards of VM to bridge definition. The problem was eliminated and everything works fine.
Sorry to bother....
