VPN Client Manager - Port Filtering Possible?

Post by frogger33 » Thu Nov 21, 2013 11:31 pm

Is it possible to set up SoftEther's VPN Client Manager in a way so that all outgoing requests to port 80 are sent through the VPN connection, while all other port requests are redirected/filtered to the physical NIC card on the computer instead?

I was thinking maybe one would need to run a VPN Server alongside the Client and have the Client connect to this local VPN Server and have the VPN Server packet filter for port 80 and then call out to your desired remote VPN, and all else it can somehow send rest to the local computers's physical nic gateway address instead. But then i was thinking this might not be possible since requests on 443 (ssl) might trigger an unintentional false-positive in a man-in-the-middle attack???

Anyone have ideas?
