CentOS compatibility

Post by peterh337 » Mon Nov 03, 2014 1:30 pm

I would like to set up the VPN terminator on a linode.com server which I use for several websites.

The O/S on the Linode server is apparently CentOS which is a derivative of Linux but isn't exactly listed for Softether

Otherwise, the product looks great. It sounds like there is a winXP and win7 client which provides a standard network connection, and the Ethernet over HTTPS looks fine (as do most of the others).

My objective is to run a VPN from a winXP or win7 laptop to this server, via port 443, for a normal internet connection. The requirement arises because many 3G and public WIFI networks block PPTP, VOIP, FTP, etc.

I wonder if there is a test machine somewhere running the VPN terminator which I could try it with...?

How about VPN Gate?

VPN Gate is voluntary VPN gateway service.
