Unable to access server through local IP address
Hi all. So far so good with SoftEther. It's doing just about everything that I want it to, expect for one thing.
When connected to the VPN, I am able to access all of my network resources, except for the server on which SoftEther is installed. I want to be able to access my server via RDP through the vpn so I can stop getting attacks via the WAN IP. Any solutions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Did you use SecureNAT or localbridge?
What OS did you use on the server?

Re: Unable to access server through local IP address
I configured it on Windows Server 2012 R2 as localbridge.
I can ping/access all of my devices on the network while connected to the vpn, with the exception of the server.
My purpose is to be able to RDP into the service with the local ip address with the vpn connection, rather than using the WAN IP.

Re: Unable to access server through local IP address
Try the ip address of your dhcp subnet. So if you are using the subnet 192.168.30.1/24 to lease IPs then try to connect to 192.168.30.1

Re: Unable to access server through local IP address
I think the server denies to accept RDP.

Re: Unable to access server through local IP address
The server even don't respond on ping from the host side.
All the computers behind the VPN server can be reached from the softether vpn client (placed outside LAN) thru Internet, except of the VPN server. It seems like only the server is invisible for the clients connected to it.

Can a PC in the LAN connect to the VPN server?
Did you check the server log?

The problem has been resolved after installation of the network Tap driver on the vpn server (raspberry pi).

Hello all,
sorry for asking. This thread quite similar with mine. I found difficulties in connecting to VPN Bridge using SE VPN Server Manager for initial configuration. Do you have any suggestion?
Thanks,
tesbuset

Thanks for responding @moatazelmasry..
As we need to connect to VPN Bridge using SE VPN Server Manager for initial configuration, i can't connect. It stated, "Connection to the server failed. Check network connection and make sure that address and port number of destination server are correct."
I have tried all default port (443, 8888. 992, 5555) but still failed to connect.
I install SoftEther VPN Bridge (Ver 4.20, Build 9608, rtm) in Centos 6.6 environment
Have you ever found the same error?

Please check the server log and netstat result.
