What OS are you using ?. Please, try next suggestion :

* Remove completely the SE's VPN adapter.
* Restart your machine.
* Make sure your machine is up to date specifically your Ethernet card, update the latter from it's official website.
* Make sure you have the latest version of SE software

Once you've been through it, launch the SE software with full privileges, that is, right-click the icon of SE software, then click on "Run as administrator".
