Problem in establishing ipv6 connection

Dear Members,
I am facing a problem while setting ipv6 address of the "Destination VPN server host name and port number" in vpnclient. In the tutorials, I have seen the pattern that is followed here is server:port, but when I put ipv6 address and port number, it is not able to acknowledge the ipv6 address properly because of the semicolons in the ipv6 address.
I want to give ipv6 address because the server I want to get connected with only supports ipv6 address.
Could you please tell me if this is possible or not and if yes then how.
