Vpn on demand

Hi
finally i succesfully installed on my win xp sp3 machine vpn client,i'm able to connect and all work fine
I need to activate vpn on demand so i disabel it at startup using msconfig
when i enable it again i get "unable to connect to the vpn client service operating on local computer
make sure the vpn client service has started and running normally"
task manager shows vpnclient and vpncmgr in execution
i tryed also to start it manually going into directory and run
vpncmgr /setup
vpnclient /uihelp
but when i stat vpncmgr again to start connection i get again the message
i think is a bug
