SoftEther and OpenVPN running at Port 443 in CentOS 7

Post by hkg.cnn » Thu Sep 26, 2019 3:36 am

I run SoftEther and OpenVPN (OpenVPN is built-in part of SoftEther) at Port 443 in CentOS 7. I also run iptables and Fail2Ban in server.

After all installation, I can use OpenVPN client to connect. However it cannot connect after 1-2 days running. It is like the iptables blocks connection. Please advise. Thanks!

Lynis Audit of a new install tells me iptables has unused rules. Not sure iptables is the culprit. In a test environment, I would get rid of iptables and see if it breaks. Then install basic ufw. Let me know. Thanks.
