SoftEther VPN User Forum

Hi,

I have a known to work installation of SoftEther vpncmd & client on a Linux MINT 19 Intel based system, for which I have forgotten the client access password.

What recourse do I have?

I suspect I am facing a reinstall. Can I just run the make again to regenerate a factory fresh version?

Is there a better strategy? Your thoughts appreciated.

I edited the vpn_client.config file associated with this installation and changed the setting of

bool PasswordRemoteOnly from "false" to "true" and that seems to have eliminated the password challenge when I connect to the client with vpncmd.
