Post by Zikosh » Sun Oct 13, 2019 2:43 am

Hi every body,

I have questions for a longtime but can not find answer. Could you please help me to clear them.

- Can I use vpngate for Youtube view? Do Youtube know I view Youtube via Vpn?
- When a viewer watching Youtube. What kind of data (example: DNS, Host, IP, Country ...) will be recorded by Youtube?

If possible, please teach me this wonder.

Thank you so much.

At https://privacy.net/analyzer/, you may examine various information that is provided by your browser, OS and ISP to any websites you visit, including youtube.

However, I don't know whether or not such analysis is already a dangerous plan for you to perform. Please, check carefully by yourselves.

Hello GfEw,
I tried to check by the analyzer, but it is not clear and some data show not exactly.
I worried that in some case, even we use VPNgate to view website or youtube, but actually, govermennt/google/youtube know clearly that we use vpn server instead of the ip provided.
I'm looking for a way to view youtube/website (by vpn server), and all what they know about me is the IP that vpngate provides (such as US, UK, CANADA ...)

Three more ideas:

1. There's another, more comprehensive browser analyzer at http://browserspy.dk/ . It shows many technical details that any webserver can see whenever you visit one of its pages.

2. At https://privacy.net/, you can find a collection of generally useful solutions regarding online privacy.

3. If you're looking for a *very* simple and solid (although closed source and certainly not perfect) privacy aware browser, you might want to give https://www.opera.com/secure-private-browser a try, with VPN enabled.

However, this thread starts to severely miss the focus of this forum, so that's all for now.

Good luck!
