SoftEther VPN User Forum

Hi,

I am currently having issues accessing the VPN server through l2tp/IPsec. I can access the server if I use the server's internal IP address but when I try to use the external address it does not work.

The confusing part for me is that I can access the server normally if I use the softether VPN client on port 443 however the l2tp/IPsec doesn't seem to work.

It's enabled in the server and I've added all the ports I can find that l2tp/IPsec supposedly uses and I've port forwarded them as well, however, this hasn't made a difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, try opening your router's port 500 upd and directing it to the fixed ip where the softether is installed!

Just tried that and its working like a charm! I ended up forwarding the wrong ports :)
