I have a Problem with my SoftEther Server: There is no way to tell the SoftEther server manager to listen on port 1701 (which is the L2TP/IPsec default port for Apple devices). According to the SoftEther documentation the port is supposed to be open by default - or is it?! But if I check with nmap the port is closed. I could theoretically add a TCP listener to this Port in the server config. However, since this is only TCP not UDP it wouldn't work. So: is there a way to tell SoftEther to listen to port 1701?

My config: Router with dyndns service and all ports forwarded. Server running Debian with SoftEther.
The VPN connection with Windows10 is just running fine with no problems whatsoever.

Re: Port 1701 UDP Issue
bealefay,
I have used SoftEther since 2012 with apple devices connecting with L2TP/IPsec to a windows hosted server. I also have a Ubuntu VPS running Softether Server with L2TP/IPsec as well for my apple devices. I have never had to open/ forward port 1701. I have only need to open/forward UDP ports 4500 & 500. Are you having issues connecting?
