How to install VPN gate client April 2020 ?

i dont know why , when i install softether vpn gate client , it wont work , result .. even it was connected but Ip on google search " whats my ip " still showing my ip .
i did try follow the youtub but wasnt work . like install in same folder as it shown in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cVwETNXugM
i really appreciate that if anyone can tell me how to install Softether vpn gate client , fyi with my very old lappy, i was one of a user since 2015
