Does IPSec/L2TP work with VPN Azure?

Post by icdmike » Mon May 11, 2020 2:04 pm

I have successfully created a VPN Azure with Password Authentication and I can connect via a Windows10 client machine. I would like to also be able to connect some Macs. When I enable IPSec/L2TP and create the shared key, etc., I cannot connect from a Mac.

I think my main question is whether the Azure magic that is done which allows one to connect through an existing Firewall should also work with IPSec/L2TP or not.

Thank you in advance to anyone who can assist.
Mike

No, You will need to direct connect to the server using a wan IP or DDNS and also open/ forward ports UDP 500 & UDP 4500 to the SE server host.

VPN Azure work with: MS SSTP-Client and SE-Client

@centeredki69 So there really is no way to access a SoftEther/L2TP server that does not have a public IP with a MacOS or Android client? I can connect to the server using a linux client and VPN Azure without any problem, and I can also connect via L2TP from Android when my phone is part of the server's private network. But I have not been able to connect from my phone using VPN Azure.

Has anyone been able to connect from Android using VPN Azure with this MS-SSTP client?
