Softether VPN Server and Windows VPN connection

Forgive me if this has already been covered on another post, but I wanted to see if it is possible to use the builtin Windows VPN connection to connect to a server running the VPN server.
Essentially what my goal is, is to make it so when a computer boots to the user login screen I can make use of the VPN dialer available in Windows already.
At the moment if I attempt to use the Windows VPN connection I get this error: "The PPP link control protocol was terminated"
I've looked into this error a little bit but most of the information I found dealt with dial up connections and didn't seem to fit the context of my environment. So any help would be greatly appreciated!
