Windows 10 to Windows 10 over VPN

Post by pasjr1972 » Sun Nov 01, 2020 2:12 am

Good evening everyone.

I just downloaded this great software and love it so far with WIndows 7. I installed the server on a Windows 7 machine, installed the client on Windows 10, and it works flawlessly... I am even connecting to my GE PLC.

I did the same exact install in a Windows 10 machine (server) and using the same Windows 10 (Client) as I did before but I can not ping the Windows 10 server. The software does log me in, give me an IP just as it should. I can ping the same PLC as before, I just can not go to file sharing or even ping the Windows 10 server.

If I go back to the Windows 7 (server), connect to it from my Windows 10 (client), I can ping the other Windows 10 (server) through the Windows 7 (server) that I created initially.

All firewalls are off on the Windows 10 (server).. I am completely confused as to why I can't ping that machine.

Any help is appreciated.

I am using simply the Virtual Hub and Local bridge setting on both Windows 7 (server) that works and the non-working Windows 10 (server).

Why when it's clear that is a SoftEther software issue?

I can create a Windows PPTP on the same Win10 computer and use a cellular modem to it without any issue, so the problem lies within SoftEther.
I do have other avenues I can use, I was just investigating this software to see if it's a viable option to replace some older applications.

There are others that have posted in the other forum with the same issue and haven't "derected" to Microsoft, but thanks for the opinion/solution.

You write server works on W7, I write it works on Ubuntu, Raspberrypi, A5V11 and many more linuxes, so for me it is W10 problem
