Route only relevant traffic over VPN

Hi
I'm new to softether and have setup a Softether VPN server to my LAN environment.
I have created a client profile and loaded into my router at home, as I'm using multiple devices to access data on LAN servers.
The router (an ASUS WIFI Router) can connect to SoftEther OpenVPN server as a VPN Client - however - I only want it to route relevant traffic.
Currently ALL my and my kids internet traffic goes through the LAN and out onto the internet that way.
How do I configure the OpenVPN / SoftEther gateway to allow internet access to the VPN Client????
