VPN on client and Remote Desktop

Hi,
I've got the vpn working great on my windows 10 PC.
When the VPN is active, I have noticed that my Remote Desktop Connection can no longer connect to the PC. I believe this is because the PC network now has a new IP address.
Is there a method or configuration I can use to have both the VPN and Remote Desktop services active at the same time?

You mean, you cannot connect using rdp to the PC which runs the VPN client?
I think, it still should be possible from inside the local network. But unless you change the settings you wont be able to connect from the Internet through an open port of your router because your default gateway is change by the VPN to go through the VPN.
In the settings of the VPN connection, advanced settings, check "No adjustments of routing table".
Does it work then?

This setting is ineffective. While it does not remove the original internet gateway, the VPN is assigned with a lower metric like this:

Network Destination        Netmask          Gateway       Interface  Metric
          0.0.0.0          0.0.0.0   192.168.44.171    192.168.44.77     25
          0.0.0.0          0.0.0.0     192.168.0.1    192.168.0.101      2
Solution 1 - on the VPN NIC set a static IP and do not set default gateway

or

Solution 2 - use direct VPN LAN IP for Remote Desktop Connection server, instead of internet or RD gateway address

Yes,
An additional setting option for windows 10 to adjust the route priority would be a good thing.

Try changing the metric value of the VPN adapter to 100 in your network settings. Please let me know if this works.
