SoftEther VPN User Forum

I have set up a SoftEther L2TP/IPsec server on my home Windows 10 computer and it seems to be running (I can connect to it using internal IP address no problem), but when trying to access it using my public IP address I get a connection error.


I have port-forwarded all the open ports the VPN server uses and they should be accessible.

What's going on? Help me out. Thanks in advance!

You provided too little information.
How did you open the ports? In windows firewall or in your home router?
What ports / protocol did you open?
On what device do you see your public IP?
Do you connect via IPv4 or IPv6?
What is your client platform?

try to forward ESP (IP protocol 50) as well
