i am recently trying to connect to vpn using IPsec type protocol in my iphone setting. but it responses "The VPN server Did not Respond". i can connect to L2TP type VPN using same credential when i choose to connect to L2TP type. My question is why i can not connect to IPsec type Protocol where its written that i can connect to VPN using L2TP/IPsec protocols. Is IPsec and L2TP/IPsec different from each other?

L2TP/IPsec means L2TP over IPsec, just like TCP/IP. It's a protocol suite, not two things. L2TP/IPsec is not IPsec.
