Hello everyone.
I realized experimentally that for Windows ME (4.90.3000), the latest working version of the installer and client is this softether-vpnclient-v4.30-9695-beta-2019.07.07-windows-x86_x64-intel.exe.
The installers of newer versions do not start with various errors (from an unmarked error in KERNEL32.LL - to using API functions unavailable in 9x, such as InterlockedCompareExchange64).
Is it planned to resume support Windows 9X in the new versions on SoftEther VPN Client, or will support for this operating system remain discontinued after the 4.30-9695 version?
The latest versions of the Client do not support Windows 9x, although support is stated.

It's no longer supported. The next version, 4.30 Build 9696 had introduced new, modern components https://www.softether.org/5-download/history

I understood. Thank you. In any case, it's very cool that until relatively recently, modern software supported such ancient operating systems.
P.S. then there is a small wish: on the website, in the description under the new versions, it is worth updating the list of supported OS, removing unsupported ones from them.
