SecureNAT not assigning IP

Post by benm » Fri Dec 18, 2015 3:09 am

I am new to this VPN but I have setup the VPN server and my VPS has an external public IP so I have enabled SecureNAT so when i login I get a IP address via dhcp but this is not happening.

Before I enabled SecureNAT i could login but my IP address on my pc still displayed my real ip address.

When i now try and login I get the message getting address via DHCP and then receive an error message

Error (Error Code 13):
Time-out occurred during VPN session communication. It is possible the connection from the client to the VPN Server has been disconnected.

Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Regards

I suggest you configure a new hub with securenat default settings. If you use securenat, do not use the bridge function.

HI there,

Thank you for your reply.

I created a new Hub and the only option I changed was enabled SecureNAT in order to obtain an IP address from the DHCP server and I still receive the error message.

Is there a particular port that needs to be open for DHCP to work?

What else should I be looking at?

I managed to get it working.

It seems CSF firewall was the issue.

It would be nice if you had posted the solution with csf. I struggling with this issue for months now.
