Choosing a VPNGate Public Relay Server
The large list of VPN relay servers is pretty daunting to the newbie.
I based my decision on the following factors:
1) It is counter-intuitive to choose a server in a heavily-censored country such as Iran, China, Vietnam, Thailand or the UK.
2) It is equally counter-intuitive to choose a server in a copyright-crazy country such as the US, France, the Nertherlands or Sweden.
3) I also thought it best to choose a server in a physical location not too distant.
4) Lastly, I thought it best to pick a server with a large number of users.
I’d be interested in others’ views on this strategy.

Re: Choosing a VPNGate Public Relay Server
Sheesh, I've seen A LOT of users (nearly 18K) at Thailand's relay server. Our govt blocks well over a million pages...
