I did read anywhere where it is compatible with Microssoft Windows 10. More people would the software if it specified that. What is the difference between the client and server ? Thank you

A VPN-server is what the clients connect to. It can be software or hardware or both. Softether is software type of VPN-server. Thousands of clients can connect to a VPN-server.
A "VPN client" is usually software and is used to connect to a "VPN-Server" These are sometimes built into the Operating system (Windows, MAC, iOS, Andriod) or can be 3rd party applications like openVPN. Softether has its own client that is used to connect only to a SE-Server.
