Client VPN connection ok but don't ping

Post by drazde » Mon Apr 27, 2020 8:33 am

Hi,
since few days I cant' access to my machine.

The connection is ok, with AccountStatusGet I see the vpn is connected; but I cant' access at any pc and also ping doesn't work

The virtual interface don't have ip address and there isn't rules on routing table

I use Linux client and for serveral week I use it without any problem.

Why what can I do?

EDIT
This is the resoult of route

Code: Select all

 [I] ➜ route -n
Kernel IP routing table
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface
0.0.0.0 192.168.1.1 0.0.0.0 UG 304 0 0 wlp3s0
192.168.1.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 304 0 0 wlp3s0
And ifconfig

Code: Select all

 [I] ➜ ifconfig

EDIT
The workaround I've found is:
1. run dhclient
2. add manually the correct roules of routing

Are you using Hyper-V? if so, did you enable MAC spoofing on the virtual machine?

Sorry, but I don't have a good background of network administrator

Code: Select all

# ip neighbour
192.168.1.1 dev wlp3s0 lladdr 10:13:31:dd:70:f0 REACHABLE
fe80::2ae:4dff:fe00:ae4d dev vpn_vpn2  FAILED
This means I have a trouble with MAC address of the virtual NIC?

Code: Select all

[I] ➜ ip -br link show
lo UNKNOWN 00:00:00:00:00:00 <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP>
enp4s0 DOWN 00:98:35:0b:57:f7 <NO-CARRIER,BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP>
sit0@NONE DOWN 0.0.0.0 <NOARP>
wlp3s0 UP 00:56:ff:45:8b:1a <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP>
vpn_vpn2 UNKNOWN 5f:b4:19:06:9b:21 <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP>

~
 [I] ➜ ip link set vpn_vpn2 up
RTNETLINK answers: Operation not permitted
I also try to change the MAC address with the same values of the NIC that I use in windows (where vpn works) but nothing.

I can ping VPN Server, but I don't know why the address of virtual adapter doesn't receive a ip address
