How Do I Know When VPN Gate Connection Was Lost?

I was connected to a VPN Gate relay server but lost the connection at an unknown time, during which I suspect my IP was being transmitted in the open while downloading bit torrents. Is there a way for me to find out when I lost the connection so I'll know how long my IP was exposed?

Unfortunately, VPN Gate does not have a kill switch. HEnce, you will have to be careful and check once in a while if you are still connected. I suggest that you reset your DNS settings.
