vpnazure.net access

Post by johncarl.santos » Sun Oct 25, 2020 3:54 pm

Hi,
Anybody using vpnazure.net?

My setup is using vpnazure.net and it is working fine just hours ago. Then just now, I cannot access both of my VPN servers in different sites, both using vpnazure.net.

Is the vpnazure.net service down?

Thank you

Same here.

On 2 locations Im getting retries constantly.
Is there something down ?

What services are needed externally from me for Softether to work ?

BTW. Im not using azure and I tried IP address in case there was an issue with the dynamic IP address.

my isp only comes with dynamic IP thats why we are using vpnazure.net

I still do not have access via azure. I use VPN Client Pro on Android, and it has logging of what goes wrong.

If I do an SSL check using sslshopper.com I get these warnings:
  • One of the root or intermediate certificates has expired (155 days ago).
  • One of the certificates is signed with a SHA1 signature. We recommend that you reissue or replace this certificate with one that uses a SHA-2 signature. Contact your SSL provider about how to do this. Read more about the SHA-1 deprecation here.
The attached graphic shows the chain, and it looks like Comodo RSA had a certificate expire back in March.
Common name: COMODO RSA Certification Authority
Organization: COMODO CA Limited
Location: Salford, Greater Manchester, GB
Valid from May 30, 2000 to May 30, 2020
Serial Number: 2766ee56eb49f38eabd770a2fc84de22
Signature Algorithm: sha384WithRSAEncryption
Issuer: AddTrust External CA Root
I ran an SSLLabs test on the host too, and the results are also attached. Lots of problems from the look of it.

Perhaps the admins of the cloud instance can tighten up the SSL settings and update the certificates. It is a great service (when it works) and is the only way I can make a VPN connection to systems that connect to the internet via CGNAT.
