OpenVPN connections fail with the error: 'TLS Handshake Failed'

Hi,

I've been using VPNGate servers for a while, but I am now unable to connect to them via OpenVPN on Android since today.

The original error logs are:

Code: Select all

11:31 am OpenSSL: error:0A000086:SSL routines::certificate verify failed:
11:31 am TLS_ERROR: BIO read tls_read_plaintext error
11:31 am TLS Error: TLS object -> incoming plaintext read error
11:31 am TLS Error: TLS handshake failed
11:31 am Fatal TLS error (check_tls_errors_co), restarting
11:31 am SIGUSR1[soft,tls-error] received, process restarting
It is always saying that it cannot acquire and verify the local certificate so I downloaded a new ovpn profile from vpngate.net and imported the profile then tried to connect but it still fails.

Not only because I used to connect to servers mainly located in S.Korea and am located in Japan, but also as I tried to connect to servers operated by Daiyuu Nobori today but it doesn't change the situation so I'm sure this problem is not occurred by government's firewall.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks.

I don't know why, somehow I got able to connect to VPNGate servers today.
It may occur again but I want to remark this issue as solved for now
