Need to configure my domain at softeher VPN

Post by piyush agrawal » Tue Jul 14, 2015 7:43 am

Hi,

I have installed this VPN on my cloud based windows server. While installation, its asks for a name which i configured as "zebratest", and created an subdomain zebratest.softether.net, which is default mapped to the cloud server's static IP.

I need to configure my own subdomain like zebratest.mydomain.com in place of zebratest.softether.net.

Is that possible here?

Please help me asap.

Thanks,
Piyush A

You do not need to configure at softether VPN if you have a static IP address. Using an A record should be enough.

Softether VPN Server does not recognise hostname if you are using neither NAT traversal nor VPNAzure. You only need to make sure your client is able to connect to the server. Therefore, a hostname pointing to the correct IP should work well.

However, you may want to use a certificate that is signed to your custom domain.
