Hello,
We have a 1Gbit/s fiber connexion to internet in our both site.
Both site are distant from 84ms, stable.
Debian everywhere.
An iperf test without VPN shows a bandwidth of around 850Mbit/s-650Mbit/s with 25 threads.
With OpenVPN we had 50 Mbit/s with 25 threads.
So with SoftEther, 100Mbit/s with 25 threads.
Any idea why our perf are that bad ?
Thanks,
Perf issue: VPNserver - VPNbridge accross the Atlantic

I am going to open a new ticket about another important issue I have met, holding this one.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I would like to know if the root cause of the performance was SoftEther. Kindly asking you to keep informing. Thank you advance.

Bonjour :)
Even if the performance are bad and on this special case, it's better than with OpenVPN.
I am confident about the fact that we will improve the perf by configuration:
-> For example by using more that 2 TCP threads, if you confirm that I can configure that.
-> or by using UDP instead of TCP. If you confirm that I can use that protocol with the Softether home made VPN protocol.
Before following your link and keeping informed this forum with this post, I would like to fix another problem which prevent me to put in production SoftEther; thus replacing OpenVPN.

Merci!
