Help needed with bypassing blackberry firewall

Post by Tgblinks » Thu Mar 19, 2015 10:47 pm

Hi.
Here in my country, the cost of Internet is pretty much. Take for instance you can get 2gig data for about $10 which is never enough. For the blackberry users, they have a cheaper data plan that is exclusive to blackberry devices. Is there a way I can use the vpn to bypass the blackberry firewall. I tried it some weeks ago and it worked all of a sudden it was detected and frozen. I just need help to get this blackberry Internet going on a non Blackberry device.

I think you're trying to say that your mobile service provider has a firewall specially for Blackberry subscribers.

Yes, you can bypass this firewall through SoftEther. Enable Hotspot on your Blackberry device and then use your computer's Softether client to connect to a Softether VPN server.

If you need a free Softether VPN service, I have a sort of VPN that is open for all users but you will have PM me for the details.

I have a similar situation - company-provided BB Z30 but disabled texting. If I enable VPN on the BB and entre your free Softether VPN, access via hotspot, should that allow me to install texting applications such as WhapsApp?

How is the installation being blocked? Is it disabled on the Blackberry phone itself? If so, a VPN would be ineffective.

When I tried to download WhatsApp from the browser, a pop-up message says "unable to open appworld://content:2360?

In the The Blackberry World menu - both the company and public folders are empty, with no applications available for download.

However, I can disable mobile network (Rogers) and switch to our home Wi-Fi connection.
